Una delle più belle canzoni di sempre.

 

E non a caso al numero uno del "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" del giornale The Rolling Stone.

 

Se lo ritrovo posto tutto l'elenco in un topic a parte... ci sarà da discutere.

Credo sia impossibile stilare una classifica delle migliori canzoni della storia della musica. I gusti a riguardo sono troppo diversi e soggettivi.

 

Ad esempio, nella classifica citata da P. J. Fry "Satisfaction", dei Rolling Stones, é addirittura al secondo posto, mentre non vengono minimamente calcolati autentici capolavori come "Don't fear the reaper" dei Blue Oyster Cult, addirittura 397ima, o "One" dei Metallica, assurdamente neanche in graduatoria.

 

Ed é solo uno dei milioni di esempi che si potrebbero citare, scorrendo la classifica.

 

Ripeto, i gusti musicali sono troppo soggettivi...

La penso esattamente come te Dà.

 

Dovendo citare 500 canzoni preferite ognuno di noi darebbe una lista diversa, anche se è ovvio che certi capolavori tipo Imagine o Wish you were here comparirebbero spesso (ecco, adesso magari queste due non piacciono a nessuno ).

 

Il lavoro di Rolling Stone comunque, pur essendo ampiamente criticabile per come è stato fatto, ha il merito di avermi fatto conoscere alcune canzoni o artisti che conoscevo pochissimo.

Welcome to the ultimate jukebox: the second edition of the ROLLING STONE 500, a celebration of the greatest rock & roll songs of all time, chosen by a five-star jury of singers, musicians, producers, industry figures, critics and, of course, songwriters. As with last year's inaugural RS 500 honoring the greatest albums ever made, the editors of ROLLING STONE called on rock stars and leading authorities to list their fifty favorite songs, in order of preference.
